Bing is the new search engine from Microsoft, first launched in the US on the 28th of May 2009, and then in other territories. It’s got a long way to go to be able to catch up with first yahoo (second biggest search engine) and then the great Google which over 60% of people use.
It is said to be able to overtake Google in 5 years time, but at the moment it is only competing with Yahoo.
Bing uses a new approach to search engines which is meant to give the client a more informed decision and to be able to find what they are looking for faster, instead of wasting time on sites that are not relevant to the search.
Bing still has a long way to go at the moment, as its missing things like a mobile device application, but it does have a pleasant friendly layout and when I have used it, I have found what I’ve been looking for.
Let’s wait and see it Microsoft’s newest project catches on this time.
